Managed Services Finance Director Description - The HP Workforce Solutions (HPWS) business involves unique, complex business models, which require a level of strategic insight at the Director level.
The position involves a high level of visibility and requires an individual with a strong executive presence to distill the financial and strategic messages into simple form.
This position will partner with the Managed Services (MS) Division President on strategic and current business topics end to end, as well as the whole ecosystem around managed services and Print and PS.
This position is developing and providing critical insights to the whole HPWS and HP organization around business performance around managed solutions & services, profitable growth, pricing, profitability improvement, scaling and ROI on main investment decisions.
This role is a direct report of the HPWS Finance VP and a business partner to the MS division president Leads a large or broad function/department within a multifaceted organization.
Responsible for operational success, strategic alignment and integration of activities with other major organizational functions, both short term long term.
Fully accountable for the success of the MS Finance team, influences strategy and sets policy and direction.
Owns a significant number of measurable functional, operational and strategic goals or priorities.
Assumes responsibility for the successful implementation of business plans & contributes to the overall strategic definition of MS with strong business acumen.
Acts as a key advisor to executive management in influencing the strategic direction of the business.
Responsibilities:
Manages the finance function WW and across Print and PS for a mid-sized complex business:
HPWS Managed Services Develops and leads planning, design, implementation, communication, and delivery of MS.
Accountable for leading MS finance managers and individual contributors by setting overall initiatives, allocating financial and human capital for programs and projects, and ensuring timely and effective delivery of financial programs.
Consults with business leaders at the executive level to drive and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope (e.
g.
, balancing risk, approving significant deals).
Leads process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function.
Oversees the key controls within HPWS Finance to ensure compliance with legal and accounting requirements (e.
g.
, GAAP, SBC, AFM).
Leads implementation of business-wide programs and products.
Ensures that the financial strategies and initiatives within MS are integrated with corporate and business strategies.
Education and Experience Required:
First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree and/or accounting certification (e.
g.
, CPA, MBA) strongly preferred.
Typically 12
years of experience in a finance function or exhibiting an exceptionally strong background in some other relevant and applicable area of business.
Typically 4
years of people management experience.
