About The Role We are seeking a Director of Employee Culture & Programs that will serve as a champion and change agent committed to crafting a culture of belonging at The Howard Hughes Corporation.
Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, this individual will partner with senior business leaders, HR Business Partners, Corporate Communications, and other key collaborators to develop and drive our employee culture.
What You Will Do Strategically drive People and Culture Program objectives through effective design, delivery methodology, and defined project plans.
Lead implementation activities and develop processes, documentation, and communications for program/process rollout and ongoing support, emphasizing their vital integration into the business strategy in collaboration with the regions and employees.
Develop strong relationships with leaders to gain a deep understanding of the business, driving inclusivity and other C & P initiatives.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and departments in the strategic planning, design, implementation, and monitoring of Employee Culture Programs across all parts of the talent life cycle.
Actively contribute to the communication strategy, working closely with corporate communications to promote and highlight these C&P programs.
Integrate inclusivity principles and processes into global talent management programs, including performance management, talent review, organizational planning, high-potential identification, and total rewards practices.
Regularly measure, analyze, and report data, providing consultative support to identify areas for improvement and showcase areas of strength and growth.
Champion employee culture initiatives internally, employing a balanced and consultative approach to drive success through strategic and tactical/operational execution.
Lead the design and implementation of Employee Resource Groups, overseeing all aspects from nomination and selection to event management, communication, success metrics, and impactful business influence.
Serve as an organizational ambassador, representing available services and resources to the business and represent the company at diverse forums and events, consistently exemplifying our core values and behaviors.
About You 7
years leadership level work experience preferably in the areas of HR employee engagement programs or business management.
5 years validated experience working specifically in employee engagement initiatives.
Cultural awareness, sensitivity, and flexibility is crucial.
Strong analytical skills and ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy and improvement opportunities.
Strong program and project management skills, with demonstrated ability to operationalize and scale programs focused on this space.
Ability to empower, influence and optimize working relationships with senior leadership, partners and peer groups; ability to challenge conventional wisdom.
Excellent communicator and collaborator, able to establish relationships, lead expectations and influence employees everywhere.
Ability to influence others without direct authority to achieve solutions to meet organization's objectives, and be proactive in providing solutions, resolving issues and overcoming hurdles to results.
