The operations manager is the core, the pumping heart, and the engine of the business.
He/she must know and be able to demonstrate all business aspects in order to keep pumping the necessary fuel, energy, knowledge, creativity, and solutions to keep the engine pumping as smoothly as possible.
He/she processes and distributes information and tasks in a way that allows the company to best operate.
His/her responsibilities are as follows:
Establish, standardize, and direct business processes, procedures, and staffing to ensure adequate management of sales, inventory, quality, and financial metrics.
Establish and maintain relationships with key commercial and residential customers.
Direct oversight of all employees' daily, weekly, monthly, and annual routines as well as establishing new roles and responsibilities to meet the changing needs of the business.
Office Manager Builders Account Manager Builders Account Specialist Service Coordinator Design Specialist Technicians/Installers Sub-Contractors Educate and train both new and existing employees.
Provide leadership and direction to all employees to ensure successful and long-term careers and opportunities.
Develop and pursue potential customer lists for all aspects of the business.
Commercial customers for PMP accounts Commercial development companies Single-family builders Multi-family builders Custom home builders Storage facility accounts Architects Designers Partner with Northside Overhead Door Wholesale to manage sufficient inventory levels to meet existing and potential demand for product while maximizing product turnover rates.
Coordinate and execute all projects based on profitability, urgency, and impact on customer retention.
Stay within budgeted expenditures in all categories.
Labor costs Products, doors, and openers Office supplies Business operating expenses Employee appreciation Closely monitor daily performance through Service Fusion, emails, and all builders' software.
Provide annual employee reviews.
Ensure proper training including but not limited to onboarding and annual training.
Ensure all payroll is accurate and on-time.
Fill in as needed during times of short staffing.
Focus primarily on driving new business and maintaining existing relationships.
Continuously seek industry knowledge and hands-on training to effectively and positively impact all areas of the business including but not limited to residential, builders, commercial, and new product offerings and business opportunities.
Will act as the on-site liaison for all customer complaints/relations.
