BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance

Job Description & Responsibilities :
  • Performing monthly financial close functions through preparation of financial statements for the corporate office
  • Reconciliation of all general ledger accounts
  • Prepare financial analysis and respond to management inquiries
  • Assist external auditors with schedule preparation and respond to audit questions
  • Effective ongoing communication of financial related information to business counterparts.
  • Planning and participating in the annual financial budget process.
  • Assist in the adoption and execution of new accounting pronouncements or procedures
Skills & Qualifications :
  • BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA and/or public company accounting experience strongly preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience; Staff accounting background.
  • Experience in GL, journal entries, bookkeeping, and fixed assets is huge.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • The ability to multi-task
  • Strong communication skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
