CB&I is looking for an entry-level accountant for our U.S. Corporate office. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a career in Accounting/Finance working for an International Company. The Accountant will be directly responsible for performing data entry and related duties in the calculation, preparation and issuance of invoices. This includes maintaining ledgers, credit balances, and resolving account irregularities. This position involves diplomatic interaction with internal and external customers to provide billing information and support in order to facilitate swift payment of invoices due to the organization.
Required
Qualifications: (must have in order to be considered)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
1 to 2 years of experience with billing, invoicing, submittal of invoices, resolving billing discrepancies, and account reconciliations
Excellent data entry skills
Proficient in Excel
JDE experience
Industry experience preferred
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Performs billing duties including accurate and timely preparation and submittal of invoices
Investigates and resolves billing discrepancies working closely with the payroll group
Responds to customer inquiries, maintains good customer relations and solves problems
Maintains filing and record systems, emailing and photocopying invoices for approval
Coordinates new customer set-up and corresponding projects as needed
Prepares account and client reconciliations on a monthly basis
Maintains reconciliation of outstanding costs to be billed on a weekly basis
Works closely with other Finance Division members to maintain the integrity of all financial operations
Performs other duties, as assigned
