Your role with the company:
The SEC Reporting Manager is a hands-on role responsible for managing a team of analysts that covers treasury accounting, revenue, financial planning and analysis, and internal/external reporting. This position reports to the VP Controller, manages approximately 4 Direct Reports, and will be the main point of contact for outside auditors. Daily duties would include preparing quarterly and annual SEC filings; ensuring GAAP compliance; reviewing global consolidation and internal financial reporting; supervising preparation of monthly forecasts and annual budgets; and having input on special projects with oversight as needed.
The immediate impact for this position will be handling the annual filings and requires someone with recent hands-on experience procuring the filings. This is not a position that stops at reviewing and auditing but is much more involved. This position is in a finance department that works very well as a team with very strong collaboration. As a manager, this position also has the opportunity to affect change and mentor team members in their career as well.
Background profile:
Bachelor's degree is required, an MBA or Masters in Accounting is preferred
CPA is preferred
3-4 years of recent experience in Reporting Manager role
Expertise in hands-on preparation of SEC filings
Exposure to POC accounting and JD Edwards is a plus
Ability to effectively manage and mentor a team is required
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
