Vehicle Description Gorgeous 1932 Highboy Roadster Great fun classic hotrod.
Finished in beautiful Neptune Blue paint.
It is a newer re-build, circa January 2020, where it was freshly painted.
The dash is finished in classic Stewart Warner winged gauges with a newer speedometer.
Headlights are Bob Drake 9 oversized headlights with both low and high beams operational.
350 SBC with 350 transmission mated to dual exhaust with great mellow tone as well as optional manual exhaust cut-outs that exit just under doors.
The cutouts can be easily capped if a quieter ride is preferred.
She rides on front and rear 4-link suspension with dropped front chrome polished Super Bell drilled axle.
The rear end is an 8 with 3.
00 gears (according to tag code).
Rear drum brakes with discs up front.
American Racing Torq Thrust wheels.
B F Goodrich tires in excellent condition.
Custom fiberglass body with metal cowling and radiator grill shell.
Body appears to be unit sold by Kilbourne Rod Shop.
(Specs on body; 4 layers hand laid 1.
5oz mat, floor 5 layers plus 2mm core mat, 1 square tubing inner structure, square tubing doors and trunk.
Body holes 3/16 CNC cut steel plates, all inner steel welded to plates).
We had Bruce's Hot Rod Shop in Spring, TX go through her when we first purchased May 2020.
The following items were replaced/repaired.
Valve cover gaskets, rear main seal, oil pan gasket, front and rear 4-link bushings, engine and transmission mounts, steering shaft and u-joints replaced for correct geometry, carb tuned and front end aligned.
Basically had Bruce's give her the once over checkup for items we were aware of as well as anything they came across.
Battery replaced approximately 1 year ago.
Runs and drives great.
Bought as father and son driver/project.
Mechanically, she is up to date with no known issues.
Currently registered through May 2022 with clean Texas title as 32 Ford Roadster.
She fires right up.
We drive her semi-regular to shows and cruise gatherings.
Mileage was reported as 6500 by prior owner.
Odometer was not working at time of purchase.
It was immediately fixed with less than 1000 miles since owning.
